This project came out of the work I did in my 2013 summer internship with Proven Hires, a tech startup based out of the 1871 tech incubator in Chicago. My main project for the summer was the creation of a job listing format based on previously conducted hiring research as well as my own A/B testing and user interviews.

What problems and challenges would I get to solve in this position?
PM's are responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting and tailoring our solutions to all the markets where Classified Ventures does business.
The Product Management team works closely with our engineers to guide products from conception to launch, and with our business partners to generate profitable revenue streams. PM's bridge technical and business worlds to design technologies with creative and prolific engineers and then zoom out to lead matrix teams such as Sales, Marketing and Finance, to name a few.
What should I have accomplished to be ready for this position?
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a BA/BS or MA/MS in Computer Science with strong technical abilities. A demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy along with excellent written and oral communication skills will help you to communicate your deep interest in creating and analyzing products. Ideally you will have had experience with developing a new product with a hypothesis that was yet to be tested. We would be most interested to know what you did to validate or invalidate the hypothesis as quickly and efficiently as possible. Were you able to grow the product from the discoveries you made in this process?
